Network Performance of ECS
I have tested for AliCloud ECS to ECS network throughput byPerfkitBenchmarker tools both about external and internal networkinterface.
Figure 1: VM-to-VM network throughput (US West region)
Our test objects are instances within VPC network. So we’d likeillustrate the network performance between AliCloud ECS with VPC networkmode.
The ECS to ECS external network throughput is about 850Mbps(~106MB/s), and the internal network throughput is just about 211Mbps(~26MB/s).
Actually, the external network throughput capacity is depending onInternet bandwidth of AliCloud EIP. And it truly decide on user'scustomization about EIP.
That could explain why the network throughput of ECS have nothing to do with the instance type.

850Mbps should be internal and 211Mbps shoudl be external.
The ECS to ECS external network throughput is about 850Mbps(~106MB/s), and the internal network throughput is just about 211Mbps(~26MB/s).
