AliCloud Object Storage Service (OSS) Introduction

What is AliCloud OSS?
- AliCloud Object Storage Service (OSS) is a cloud storage service provided by AliCloud, featuring massive capacity, security, low cost, and high reliability.
- AliCloud OSS provides storage through RESTFUL web service interface. In practice, users can upload and download data on any application anytime and anywhere by calling APIs, or perform simple management of data through the Web Management Console.
- The AliCloud OSS can store any type of files, with no maximum total storage limitation (individual object can be as large as 48.8TB), and therefore it is applicable to various scenarios from Enterprise Applications to Individual Web Developments.


How am I billed for using AliCloud OSS?
AliCloud OSS fees are calculated based on the following 3 components:
1/ Total volume of storage consumed: Pay-as-you-go with zero up-front fee, only starting from US$0.0258 / GB / Month
2/ The amount of data transferred from AliCloud OSS to the Internet: No charge for uploading to AliCloud OSS. You only have to pay a nominal fee for data downloading from OSS, starting at US$0.1172 / GB
3/ The number of API requests made: All OSS operations are ultimately API requests, but no charge will incur if you make less than 10,000 requests / hour. If you do exceed, the charge starts at US$0.0016 per next 10,000 requests.
