Lesson12 vSphere VDR
Enable quick, simple and complete data protection for your virtual machines with VMware Data Recovery, a disk-based backup and recovery solution. VMware Data Recovery is your first line of defense for data protection. It’s fully integrated with VMware vCenter Server to enable centralized and efficient management of backup jobs and also includes data de-duplication to save on disk storage for your backups.
1.Disk-based backup and recovery to enable speedy restoration of your VMs （基于磁盘的备份和恢复，快速的恢复你的虚拟机）
2.Easy to deploy, since VMware Data Recovery is a virtual machine that runs on VMware ESX and ESXi hosts（轻松的部署，因为VDR就 是一个运行在ESXi上的虚拟机）
3.Restore individual files or entire images as needed（可以按需恢复单个文件或者镜像）
VDR使用的是内置重复数据消除技术来节省大量磁盘空间
每个vCenter Server 最多可支持10个data recovery 备份设配,而每个备份设备可保护100台虚拟机
Step1 安装客户端插件
在安装插件之前,环境中必须有运行 vCenter server .
Data recovery插件通过端口22024连接到备份设备
确保插件已启用
Step2 安装备份设备
备份设备使用端口902连接到esxi
*.ovf文件在光盘里的 D:\VMwareDataRecovery-ovf-x86_64\,部署好备份虚拟机
Step3 配置DR IP
由于data recovery 是基于CentOS操作系统的
启动后来设置ip address . 用户名和密码为 root / vmw@re
可以通过DHCP来先动态获取一个IP地址,然后网页访问可以配置静态IP 地址
https://192.168.142.143:5480
Step4 启用DR
至于怎么去备份和还原jobs 我就不介绍了
