背景

云数据库PPAS版,是阿里云与EnterpriseDB公司(简称EDB)合作基于PostgreSQL高度兼容Oracle语法的数据库服务,为用户提供易于操作的迁移工具,兼容范围涵盖:PL/SQL、数据类型、高级函数、表分区等。

用户可以直接在阿里云购买PPAS进行使用。

如果在购买PPAS前,想试用一下,可以去EDB网站下载,并部署相关的插件。

一、测试环境安装部署EDB

服务器

EDB 数据库软件

EDB EPAS 11版本开始,只支持YUM资源安装,无法直接下载二进制。

11开始的版本参考如下文档配置YUM进行安装(yum install -y edb-as11-server):

下面以10.5 版本为例,介绍edb epas 10的安装过程。

1、下载软件

4、初始化数据库集群(安装软件时已初始化,以下略)

如果你需要在一台服务器上初始化多个数据库实例,可以参照执行:

数据目录与WAL日志目录(注意,这些是数据和redo日志目录,所以必须有别于其他数据库实例已经存在的目录。)

如果你想兼容PostgreSQL,使用如下手段初始化

initdb -D ppas10_8001 -E UTF8 --lc-collate=C --lc-ctype=en_US.utf8 -U enterprisedb -W -X /data04/ppas10_wal_8001  

当然,在初始化后,还可以通过修改参数来实现兼容Oracle或PostgreSQL

5、安装Oracle OCI(可选)

安装Oracle OCI

《PostgreSQL 商用版本EPAS(阿里云ppas) - 测试环境部署(EPAS 安装、配置、管理、Oracle DBLINK、外表)》

安装Oracle OCI。这样才可以在EDB数据库中建立ORACLE的DBLINK。

将安装包上传到服务器,解压,放到EDB的PGHOME目录(本文/opt/edb/as10),并建立软链。详情参考
