UNIX服务器一般都可以配置远程拨入MODEM作为控制台， 供厂商的工程师远程登录进行系统诊断，下面以HP的L系列小型机作为例子，描述一下配置步骤。
其配置方法如下：
在控制台终端上键入“Ctrl b”可进入GSP，一般情况下在login:和password:提示处直 接回车即可。
例如：
键入“Ctrl b”后，终端显示：
Service Processor login: 此处回车
Service Processor password: 此处回车

用ca命令配置远程拨入MODEM:
GSP> ca
This command allows you to modify the local and remote console configuration.

Current Flow Control is : Software

用er命令激活远程拨入MODEM:
GSP>er

-> Remote Console will be : Enabled

注意：mr命令可复位MODEM，配置完成后用co命令返回控制台终端模式。
