The first step to doing this is to delete the default page from your application

$ rm -rf public/index.html
or
$ mv public/index.html public/index.html.off
			

$ vim config/routes.rb

  map.connect ':controller/:action/:id'
  map.connect ':controller/:action/:id.:format'
  map.root :controller => "home"
